Residents & NHW meeting

There will be a residents meeting /social in the Lion and lobster at 7pm on the 29th July.

This will be in the upstairs room

Please let me know if you can attend.

Try the temple bar, the duke of norfolk, the robin hood, the bees mouth, atlas lounge to name but a few local bars that are "old fashioned style" There are plenty.

Is it you who has complained about noise from the brothel on Montpelier road? Brothels are the oldest business there is!

The noise caused by Lion and Lobster customers causes misery to many who live on sillwood street and bedford place. Granted the pub is nice but having 15 intoxicated people talking and shouting on a residential street up to 3am in the morning is intolerable and a public order offence. Since you have experience with noise problems i suggest you have more empathy for the problems people experience from the pub.

We are lucky to have such a great amenity near us. The Lion and Lobster is a proper pub in the old fashioned style that are sadly dying out. It is not a new style bar that plays loud dance music all day and night attracting stag and hen nights... but it could be easily... I say we should count out blessings!

The room is upstairs and tucked away, also its free! It may be a good start to monitor the activity while in there as we can check on the noise side at the meeting. The PCSO will be able to advise or chase what conditions they have on their licence.

I would say the Lion and Lobster is not a good venue for the meeting. The noise from the the pub causes a great nuisance to many residents and is an issue that should be addressed.
