I am currently contacting all groups that were involved in our past Park It! scheme. I am the editor of GreenSpace's bimonthly members' magazine, Spaces&Places, and we are putting together an article about the impact park events can have on the community.
Ideally I am looking for some quotes from Park It! groups about what has happened in your community since you held your Park It! event, for example - is the event now a regular occurrence? If so, how is it funded - did your first event attract new funders? Do you now work with other community groups or reach members of the community that you didn't before? Do you now have more people volunteering with your group since the event? Has anything positive come about in the community as a result of the event you put on?
If you would be happy to contribute I would love to hear from you (by 17 July please) - ideally I am looking for quotes from two or three groups so please either give me a call and we can have a chat, or perhaps email me a quote (around 100 words) on what has happened with your group since the Park It! event.
